WHEN WE GOT THIS TRUCK IT WAS COMPLETELY STOCK AND IN GREAT ORIGINAL CONDITION BUT HAD A BAD HEAD GASKET.
RATHER THAN TAKE A CHANCE ON DOING A HEAD GASKET WE JUST SPENT THE MONEY AND DID
IT RIGHT WITH A WHOLE NEW ENGINE SO THERE WOULD BE NO PROBLEMS DOWN THE ROAD AND
IT SURELY PAID OFF BY THE
WAY THIS RIG RUNS. THE
ENGINE IS BACKED BY
A BULLET PROOF 5 SPEED
MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND
A GREAT 4X4 TRANSFER CASE.
IT HAS A NEW EXHAUST SYSTEM AND IS ABSOLUTELY CALIFORNIA SMOG LEGAL. NOTHING HAS BEEN AL
TERED AS FAR AS THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION SO AGAIN IT FLIES THROUGH CALIFORNIA'S TOUGHEST SMOG CHECK SYSTEM. THE
SUSPENSION HAS BEEN TOTALLY UPGRADED WITH ALL NEW TEFLON BUSHINGS FOR SMOOTH AND TIGHT STEERING. WITH NO PLAY IN THE
STEERING AND A VERY NICE RIDE IT IS VERY COMFORTABLE TO CRUISE AROUND IN. THIS TOYOTA TRUCK ALSO HAS CROSS OVER STEERING
ALONG WITH A COMPLETE REBUILD OF ALL THE FRONT END COMPONENTS. A VERY NICE LIFT KIT WAS ADDED TO THIS TRUCK AND WITH THE
CROSS OVER STEERING THERE IS NO "BUMP STEERING" ISSUES AT ALL. THIS TRUCK DRIVES PERFECTLY STRAIGHT AS WOULD BE EXPECTED IN
A TRUCK OF THIS QUALITY. THIS BABY SITS ON A BRAND NEW SET OF 33" TIRES AND NOT ONLY DOES IT DRIVE RIGHT BUT LOOKS GREAT
WITH A PERFECT STANCE. FOR THE RIGHT PERFORMANCE AND DURABILITY IT IS EQUIPPED WITH THE HIGHLY DESIRABLE STRAIGHT AXLE FRONT END FOR FOUR WHEELING. I WOULD HATE TO SEE THIS TRUCK GET MESSED UP FOUR WHEELING BUT I GUESS THAT IS WHAT IT WAS MADE FOR. THIS TRUCK HAS PROBABLY NEVER BEEN HAMMERED OFF ROAD BEING AS IT IS JUST SO STRAIGHT AND NICE. INSIDE THE BED OF THE TRUCK IT IS NEAR PERFECT. WE HAD A SPRAY ON BED LINER DONE NOT TO COVER ANYTHING UP BUT IT JUST LOOKS SO GOOD. WHEN WE GOT THE TRUCK IT HAS A CAMPER SHELL ON IT FROM DAY ONE. THEY SURE WERE UGLY BACK THEN BUT IT SURE DID PROTECT THE INSIDE OF THE BED AND IT IS SUPER STRAIGHT.
THE EXTERIOR OF THE TRUCK WAS PAINTED THE ORIGINAL COLOR (CREME YELLOW?) AND WAS ONLY SPRAYED ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE TRUCK. ALL THE DOOR JAMS AND UNDER THE HOOD IS STILL THE ORIGINAL PAINT. THERE ARE A FEW PAINT IMPERFECTIONS AND EXTREMELY MINOR PAINT CHIPS (1 OR 2) IT IS NOT A FIRST PLACE CAR SHOW PAINT JOB BUT A VERY VERY NICE WEEK END DRIVER OR OFF TO THE LOCAL SHOW AND SHINE SHOWS. WITH A LITTLE ELBOW GREASE SPRUCING UP THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND THE UNDER CARRIAGE THIS COULD BE A REAL WINNER. DON'T GET ME WRONG...THIS TRUCK IS AWESOME THE WAY IT IS AND GETS COMPLIMENTS CONSTANTLY.
